CAES earns almost $6800 in grants



CAES faculty members have once again gone above and beyond in submitting winning grant proposals to the IWCS Education Foundation.  We have several winners!!!!!

- Mrs. Mason- $1784 for ECSE outdoor play equipment
- Mrs. Madden- $2500 for a Rock Wall in the gym
- Mr. Evans- $721 for Book Buddy Baggies
- Mrs. Booth- $552 for ACT OUT with Reading
- Mrs. Oparaji- $735 for an Outdoor Learning Garden
- Goetz/Novak- $470 for our Reluctant Reader Book Club

That is almost $6800 in grants for our students!!!

Toys for Tots "Stuff the Bus"

Today our 3rd grader's "stuffed" the bus with all of the collected toys for Toys for Tots.
It was like an assembly line of elves who passed each and every toy down the line towards the bus..

Old Point National Bank THANKS!


For the second year in a row, Old Point National Bank in Eagle Harbor Shopping Center collected donations from the community to compile Thanksgiving Gift Bags for CAES.  


Thanks to Joyce Dunning and her staff at Old Point National Bank, they were able to collect enough food and cash donations for 20 food bags for CAES families.  


Carrollton Elementary is so lucky to have businesses in the community who value our CAES students and want to provide for a special holiday.

Thanksgiving Thanks to Generous CAES Families!!!

A big "THANKS" to several CAES families who worked to gather donations and put together Thanksgiving Meal Bags for 2 CAES Families.  In addition, they collected enough money for several more families to get gift cards to local grocery stores.


This is yet another reason why Carrollton Elementary is the BEST school.  We have great kids and families who are thinking about others during the holiday season.

had the opportunity to video conference with Astronaut Abby.

Abby is training to be an astronaut and hopes to the first to step on the surface of Mars.

The Toys for Tots campaign has begun at CAES!!!

The boxes are here....


they just need the gifts to fill them up.

So we can stuff the bus FULL of gifts.  Over 97% of your donations stay right in the Isle of Wight/Surry community.
